Introduction
JOY HAS BEEN WORKING AS A MAID FOR MORE THAN 5 YEARS. SHE HAS BEEN WORKING FOR WESTERN FAMILY. SHE CAN COOK AND SHE IS SUITABLE OF LOOKING AFTER YOUNG CHILDREN.
FROM JULY 2013 UP TO DATE- She is been working for a French family in a private type of house. She is been minding 2 children age; 1 and 3 years old when she started working this family. Her employer has given her a recommendation letter stating that; " When we hired Joy in July 2013, we were looking for someone who could assist us with the household chores and with the care of too very active young children aged; 2 and 1 year old. I was hoping to find a job to cover the expenses but my visa does not allow me to work at the moment (I hope a long term pass). My younger child turns 18 months at the end of the month and he starts going to childcare on a part time basis. Both o my children are going to pre-school so it is becoming difficult to pay for both childcare and a helper. She is a very kind lady and our kids love her. She is extremely patient with them (far more than I am!) and she understands their need for constant attention. She enjoys playing with them and so do my kids. For example, she would take them to the playground and help them up and down TH slide. I haven't observed many helpers doing so and being so involved with the kids. She obviously treats them as her priority. When my baby was younger, she could soothe him to sleep when I failed. She always keeps calm with them. She has made very nice attentions, for example she offered gifts for Christmas. As a dedicated mother fully involved in her kids' education, I believe that her attitude towards the kids is appropriate and valuable. Joy can also be fast and efficient in doing the chores. She pays attention to our advice and comments. She has made noticeable efforts to adjust to our eating habits. She can cook simple meals and some more specific dishes like lasagna, carbonara pasta, soups, banana bread.... to name a few. She usually cooks all sort of simple dishes for the children. She is always done according to our requirements. It was our first experience hiring a helper so it was a new learning experience for us as employers. We noticed that sharing our expectations and a work schedule could helper stay focused and help in her daily routine. On a personal basis, we also appreciate her discretion. We like the fact that her close family works in Singapore and we believe that it might contribute to her positive attitude."
FROM JUNE 2010 TO MARCH 2013- She was working for a British family in a private apartment. She was minding a 2 years old child when she started working this family. She does the general household chores, laundry and cooking. She can cook and she is able to follow recipe book. She went back to Philippines to rest for a while.
FRO AUGUST 2009 TO JUNE 2010- She was working for an Australian / Swedish family in a private apartment. She was minding a 6 months old baby when she started working for them. She does the general household chores, laundry and cooking. Her employer left for good.
FROM DECEMBER 2008 TO AUGUST 2009- She was working for an Irish / Dutch family in a 3 story house. She was looking after 3 children ages; 4, 6 and 8 years old. She does the general household chores laundry and cooking. She requested for transfer as she can't managed the house and the 3 children alone.
